Partner Dirk Noels lectures on the new liability regime of subcontractors
Partner Dirk Noels will give a lecture on 29 November 2022 at the Colloquium 2022: The New Shipping Code, Penalties and Liabilities, organised by UNIVERSHA, the Royal Belgian Association of Transport Insurers, the Professional Association of Insurance Brokers, the Studiekring der zeeverzekeringen and the Belgian Association for Maritime Law.
Dirk Noels will speak about the liability of subcontractors and the legislative change in the New Belgian Civil Code abandoning the decades-old "Muller Thomsen Doctrine" of the Belgian Court of Cassation and introducing a completely (?) new liability regime.
